MINER'S HUT

The Miner's Hut is perhaps the closest link to our Pioneering history. The Hut is a quaint single room Shack built from Timber Slabs recovered from the original Homestead which was built in the early 1900's. It has been lined with Wall Paneling to make it a little more comfortable. It has a front Verandah overlooking the fertile River Flats where Pasture is grown to make Hay ,or, at times to Strip Graze the Pasture with Simmental and Simbrah Cows and Calves.
The Hut has a Queen Size Bed and a set of Double Bunks, one above the other.
It has a small Electric Stove, Fridge / Freezer, Microwave, Electric Fry Pan, Toaster, Kettle, Crockery and Cutlery and various Pots and Pans. There is a Kitchen Table and Chairs.
For heating in the Winter there is a Pot Belly Stove which is also great for putting a Kettle on or cooking up a Pot of Soup or Stew. There is one bag of split firewood supplied with each Booking. If further Wood is required, bagged wood is available for sale or you might like to bring your own.
